Quality Enhancement Plan 2017

J.F. Drake State Community & Technical College is pleased to announce the release of the 2017 Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP).  The QEP is a carefully designed and focused course of action that addresses a well-defined topic or issue related to enhancing student learning.  The QEP is a required component of Drake State’s accreditation by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC). During the planning phase, the QEP committee reviewed institutional data that pointed to math as one of the areas Drake State students could use some focused attention.

The plan needed a name and based on input from faculty and staff, the QEP was entitled “Mind Over Math”.  The committee then launched a student contest to develop a “Mind Over Math” logo.  The winning logo will be used college-wide for the marketing of the QEP. Drake State is proud of all of the students who submitted entries for the logo contest.  First Place went to Ashlea Redard who is studying Business Administration/Accounting, Second Place went to Kihem Carter-Bay who is studying Electrical Engineering, and Third Place went to Frank Burden who is a Computer Information Systems student.
