Salon and Spa Management- Barbering

The Barbering Program combines classroom theory with “hands-on” practice in the laboratory. The program is designed to provide qualified individuals the opportunity to acquire the knowledge, aptitude, and skills in the cosmetology field.

Upon completion of the Barbering Program the students can obtain licensures by successfully passing the Alabama Board of Barbering Exam.   After one year of holding an Alabama Barbering license, students can enroll in Barbering Instructor Training Courses.

Your Future

A graduate of the Barbering Program can become employed as a Barber, Platform Artist or Barbershop Owner depending on the program option selected. After gaining experience in a shop/salon environment, graduates could build enough clientele to one day open their own business.
