MISSION:

The International Association is dedicated to providing support and advisement for international students who attend J. F. Drake State Technical College. Specifically, the Association provides information and assistance in matters related to employment, housing, health insurance, legal matters, banking services, automobiles, social security, immigration status, and personal concerns. Programs and activities sponsored by the International Association encourage international and American students to interact in order to provide cultural diversity and an enriched campus community for all.

Name and Membership

The name of this organization shall be the J. F. Drake State Technical College International Association.

The International Association membership is open to all international students enrolled at J. F. Drake State Technical College.

Officers:

The officers of the association shall be elected annually and consist of a President, Vice President, Secretary/Treasurer, and Student Government Association Representative.

Duties of the President

• Administer and enforce the mission and decisions of the International Association.
• Call and preside over meetings of the International Association.
• Appoint committee chairpersons and members.
• Oversee the work of the other officers and committee chairs.
• Serve in all proper and necessary capacities as assigned the advisor.

Duties of the Vice president

• In the absence of the President, assume the duties of the President.
• Serve in an advisory capacity on all committees.
• Serve as the Program Chairperson for designated speakers.
