DRAKE STUDENTS WIN DURING NATIONAL
LEADERSHIP COMPETITION

 

Huntsville, Ala. – Several Drake State Technical College students recently won awards during the Phi Beta Lambda business fraternity national leadership conference in Atlanta, Georgia.

Phi Beta Lambda is the post secondary division of a national, non-profit organization comprised of students preparing for business and business-related careers. State conferences host competitions on business knowledge and skills.

The following students won awards during the conference:

  • Parliamentary Procedure, 10th Place-Dominique Bazel, Carmen Burks, Gwenita Roberts, Michelle Timmons.

Gwendolyn Pope, office systems instructor; Deloris Smothers, computer systems instructor; and Dr. Verlindsey Stewart, accounting instructor all served as advisors for the Phi Beta Lambda students.
