The Drake State Technical College financial
aid office will be hosting two financial aid awareness days. The
sessions will be held to assist individuals apply for financial aid and
Drake State scholarships. Special emphasis will be given to financial
aid eligibility and deadlines. Scholarship applications for the
2008-2009 academic year and the 2008 Free Summer Semester Scholarship
for May, 2008 high school graduates will also be available.
The sessions will be held during the
following times:
Wednesday, April 30

9 a. m. – Noon

5 – 6 p.m.
Thursday, May 1

1 – 4:30 p. m.

5 – 6 p.m.
Drake financial aid personnel will conduct
the sessions. Representatives from the North Alabama Center for
Educational Excellence will be available to assist individuals apply for
federal financial aid immediately following the session.
In order to complete the federal financial
aid application, prospective students must bring the appropriate tax
information. Prospective summer semester enrollees must bring their 2006
tax return and W-2 forms. Prospective fall semester students must bring
their 2007 tax return and W-2 forms.
