Disability Support Services

Disability Support Services… Drake State Cares About You!

It is the policy and practice of J. F. Drake State Community and Technical College to ensure public accommodations and services, equal enjoyment of goods, facilities, privileges, and advantages to all individuals with disabilities. Please visit the College Counselor to find out more information related to the types of accommodations provided by the college.

Accommodations may be provided for the following, but are not limited to:

    Deaf or Hearing Impaired

    Learning disabilities

    ADD or ADHD

    Traumatic Brain Injury

    Psychological disorder

    Health Condition or Mobility

You must be able to provide recently written documentation from a clinical professional familiar with the nature and extent of your disability. This will help the counselor to determine those accommodations that will be most beneficial to you in an academic environment.

To request accommodations through Disability Support Services, visit the office in Building 700 Room 706 or call 256.551.1710. Counseling Services strives to assist students as quickly as possible, so appointments are highly suggested.
