The Computer Information Systems Technology program is an Associate Degree and Certificate awarding program. Emphasis is placed on hands on training in the areas of microcomputer operating systems, applications, programming languages and networking equipment. After completing a degree in the Computer Information Systems Technology program, a student will have the skills to fulfill entry-level positions in computer support and operations, networking, and software development fields in the industry.
A graduate of the Computer Information Systems Technology program may become employed in many of the entry-level positions such as Computer Technician, Web Designer, Cyber Specialist, Computer Programmer, Help Desk Specialist, Computer Lab Manager, Database Analyst, Systems Analyst, Network Specialist, or Test Engineer.
