Utilize Your Benefits

After enrolling as a Drake State student, Veteran and veteran dependents must complete the following steps to take advantage of their education benefits. Returning Veteran students should update their contact information (Step 4) if there has been a change to personal information.

  • All new students using VA educational benefits must submit the intake form to ensure your information is properly shared with the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs.

  • In order to receive your education benefit funds, this form must be submitted and reviewed by a Drake State School Certifying Official (SCO). You will not receive your housing or stipend without completing this form.

  • The Joint Service Transcript (JST) is an academically accepted document approved by the American Council on Education (ACE) to validate a service member’s military occupational experience and training along with the corresponding ACE college credit recommendations, according to the U.S. Military. This is a required document for Veteran students only, not veteran dependent students.
