Drake State is an open enrollment college. Open enrollment, sometimes called open admission, means our only admission criteria is that you have a high school diploma or GED. You can learn more on our Admissions page or use our Five Easy Steps checklist to help you through the application process.
When you make the decision to go to college, cost can be a major factor. At Drake State tuition is affordable so you don't have to create debt to earn your education.
Submitting the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is your first step to receiving financial aid and gives you the most access to financial aid sources to pay for your education. If you’re looking for a more immediate entry to the workforce or if you are already in the workforce, many of Drake State's academic programs offer professional and technical certificates which can be completed in a matter of months. Through our Workforce Development Department, certificate programs and customized training are available to companies needing to develop the skills of their workforce.
