In response to the COVID-19 pandemic and with guidance from Alabama Community College System, Drake State has discontinued on-campus instruction as well as non-essential on-campus services. The campus has transitioned to online delivery of instruction and remote student services until further notice to protect the health, safety and well-being of our students, employees and the communities we serve.
Spring Commencement, Honors Day, pinning ceremony and all other College events are postponed until further notice. Online and distance learning will continue for the remainder of the Spring semester.
College faculty and staff are available to students via email and phone during this period.
IMPORTANT: There will be No instructional activities during students’ break which includes tests and/or assignments. Faculty will communicate a flexible schedule of instruction and alternative method(s) of delivery for your class to ensure that core competencies of the course are achieved.
Students should check the College’s website, Canvas and their Drake State student email for updates. All classes at Drake State have transitioned to online delivery of instruction.
For courses that require competency check-offs, labs, and clinical hours, a plan for accelerated course completion is being considered. When plans are finalized, instructors will provide details to students. Please click here for updates to the modified instructional plan.
